Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research situated at the heart of the University of Delhi North campus has emerged as a leading research and teaching Institute in the country and made its impact in the field of Biomedical Sciences within a decade. ACBR has developed excellent infrastructure, state of art laboratories and very exciting teaching programs. The Institute has strong interactions with neighbouring research laboratories such as Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (IGIB), Institute of Cytology and Preventive Oncology (ICPO, ICMR, Noida), V.P-Patel Chest-Institute, All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS). The Centre follows a unique approach structure where students get opportunity to work in rather free environment and interact with all the faculty members with great enthusiasm. ACBR has not only strong commitment to develop specialized human resources through high quality teaching and training programs but also undertake innovative research in frontier areas of Biomedical Sciences. The students are being taught recent advances in subject such as molecular oncology, genomics, proteomics, medicinal chemistry, clinical research, medical microbiology, immunology, toxicology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, drug designing and pharmacology. The students get hands on training in modern state of art instrumentation facilities. The Center provides a rich intellectual environment for the students by holding large number of seminars/symposia as well as training programs through summer projects and project dissertation. The Center offers many awards and fellowships for meritorious students. The Center has emerged as a promising research institute and students are tremendously benefited by studying and working at the Center .Every year almost all students clear their National Eligibility Test for research or teaching and get opportunity to work in premier research Institutes in India and abroad.
