In a short span of less than ten years, Dr B. R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research has developed excellent infrastructure, modern laboratories and very exciting teaching programs. The Center has established very strong interaction with neighboring Institutes such as Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Science (INMAS) and Institute of Genomics and Integrated Biology (IGIB). Ambedkar Center has not only a strong commitment to develop human resources through teaching and training programs but also to undertake involved research in modern biology. The students in the M.Sc. course are being taught the latest in medicinal chemistry, genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, physiology and immunology, toxicology and pharmacology. The Center provides a rich intellectual environment for the students by holding large number of seminars/ symposiums as well as training programs through summer projects. The Center also has many awards and fellowships for meritorious students. The Center is emerging as a promising research institute and the students will tremendously benefit by studying and working in the Center. I welcome aspiring young students to this dynamic academic Center of the University.
